Meet the Team

Karlos Barltrop – Business Owner

I am the business owner and have extensive IT experience.  I received my degree in Information Science from the University of Otago.  In my career I have worked in challenging IT environments including local companies Mainland Products and Computerland. Then, in 2008, I moved to the team here at Computer Troubleshooters.

 As well as IT, I have a passion for customer service and business and therefore I view IT solutions in the context of the entire business, unlike many computer technicians who provide solutions with a purely technical focus.

On a personal note I have three beautiful children (If I do say so myself.) 4 and a half year old Iszac, 6 year old Ethan and 8 year old Mya. They are all budding sports champions in the making and all seem to be already developing IT skills. In fact quite often I will come home to find my 4 and half year old Iszac with a screw driver in hand and some sort of electronic item in pieces. Just changing the batteries he tells me…….
